A Thousand Tomorrows is the story of two people, Cody Gunner, and Ali Daniels, who share the love of rodeo and hold a personal secret that drives them. Cody Gunner, a bull rider, is battling an anger towards his father who left him and his little brother, Carl Joseph when they were young boys. Ali Daniels is a barrel racer, battling cystic fibrosis and is determined not to let the disease hinder her life.

Cody and Ali strike up a friendship and Ali divulges her battle with cystic fibrosis to Cody. This was a big deal for Ali because the only people who knew about her illness was her parents. Their friendship turns into the purest of loves either of them had ever experienced and Cody and Ali embark on the battle of a lifetime together.

Karen Kingsbury writes these characters and their story in such compassionate detail. Their respective struggles and shared experiences come right off the page and settles in your heart. Once you start this story you will not want to put it down. Each character is developed so vividly and the locations are described so beautifully that you can imagine you are there.
