The Rooted Life takes you on the journey of homesteading. I have always had a fascination with homesteading and found this book really interesting.

Mr. Rhodes takes you on his experiences homesteading his farm, pointing out that growing your own food is the way to creating health and wholeness for our bodies and environment. Mr. Rhodes believes you can start homesteading wherever you are; you don't necessarily need a farm to begin. Mr. Rhodes gives suggestions on how to start your own homesteading practices. One such example is: starting your own container garden. Mr. Rhodes walks you through the steps it would take for you to start your container garden equipped with brands that he likes to use for optimal garden growth.

Further topics explored are raising chickens, and he also includes recipes. There are recipes for chicken stock, bone broth, roasted chicken, and a breakfast casserole to name a few. Mr. Rhodes writes about how to involve the family in creating a homestead.

The book is written and photographed beautifully. This book is beyond a coffee table book; it is a look into the wondrous world of being rooted in the earth and how we can become more healthy growing our own food.

Happy Reading!
