When the World Breaks is about what the teachings of Jesus say about suffering. Pastor Jason Miller writes about the Beatitudes and how these eight blessings from Jesus and how we can find hope in these eight blessings.

When I picked up this book I didn't know what to expect. After reading this book, there are many insights and positive messages I came away with. In rereading the Beatitudes, there is a new understanding and revealing of the message of hope that is interweaved in them. Pastor Miller wrote that the Beatitudes are grounded in God, which is bigger than anything that we can experience. Jesus teaching of the Beatitudes speaks of suffering, however, they are accompanied by the hope we have in God and how much He loves us.

The Beatitudes are a recognition of the suffering we will experience however they communicate the promise that God makes to us - that He will be here for us always.

I highly recommend this book. This book will take you on a deeper journey through the Beatitudes and I think you will come away a closer walk with Jesus.
